Job summary

Synagro is seeking a dedicated CDL Class A driver to safely transport material from client locations to processing or disposal sites. You may operate tankers and end-dump trailers in on- and off-road environments, loading and unloading as required.

You will complete daily mileage logs, perform vehicle inspections, and ensure compliance with DOT and company regulations. Overnight travel may be required, and a clean driving record is essential.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid CDL Class A license (tanker endorsement preferred).
• Clean driving record with no serious tickets in last 5 years.
• Ability to load/unload and operate heavy/agricultural equipment safely.

Responsibilities

• Operate and drive trucks to transport material to processing/disposal sites.
• Complete daily logs and mileage reports.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance on truck/equipment.
• Adhere to DOT/state/local regulations and company policies.
• Travel between job sites, may require overnight stays.

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for safely transporting material from a clients' location and to an assigned destination for processing or disposal. Performs necessary tasks to load and unload material utilizing commercial trucks and/or heavy/agricultural equipment. (May include tankers and end dump trailers in an off road environment.)

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES

1. 1. Complete a daily truck log and submit reports of mileage covered at EOD
2. 2. Serve as a brand advocate and ambassador in every interaction with clients and the public
3. 3. Conduct daily inspections and perform preventative maintenance on the truck/equipment
4. 4. Comply with all DOT, state, local and in-house regulations, procedures, and rules
5. 5. Operate truck/equipment in a safe manner at all times
6. 6. Perform loading, unloading, and timely delivery of material to assigned/approved destination
7. 7. Travel from job site to job site or plant to job site. May involve overnight travel
8. 8. Clean bio-solids off truck/equipment before leaving the field site or landfill
9. 9. Perform shop clean up, maintenance, and equipment/tools setup

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCES

1. 1. Minimum HS Diploma or equivalent (GED)
2. 2. Valid Commercial Drivers' License (CDL) Class A with Tanker Endorsement preferred
3. 3. Safe driving record: No serious tickets or accidents in last 5 years or DWI/DUI in last 10 years

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

1. 1. Sitting, Climbing, Balancing, Reaching, Standing, Walking, Lift 75 lbs., Feeling, Talking, Hearing, and Visual
2. 2. The worker is subject to outside environmental conditions: No effective protection from weather
3. 3. The worker is subject atmospheric conditions: One or more of the following conditions that affect the respiratory system of the skin: Fumes, odors, dusts, mists, gases, or poor ventilation.
4. 4. The worker is subject to hazards: Includes a variety of physical conditions such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat or exposure to bio-solids.

Salary Range: $25.00-$27.00 per hour (commensurate with experience)
