Job summary

Synagro Technologies, Inc. is seeking a professional driver responsible for safely transporting material from client locations to processing or disposal sites. You will load/unload using commercial trucks and heavy equipment, following DOT and site regulations.

Candidates should have a HS diploma or GED, a Class A CDL with tanker endorsement preferred, and a clean driving record. The role may involve overnight travel and varying shifts.

• Valid CDL Class A with Tanker Endorsement preferred.
• Safe driving record: No serious tickets or accidents in last 5 years or DWI/DUI in last 10 years.

Responsibilities

• Complete a daily truck log and submit mileage reports.
• Serve as a brand advocate in interactions with clients and the public.
• Conduct daily inspections and perform preventative maintenance on truck/equipment.
• Operate truck/equipment safely at all times.
• Perform loading, unloading, and timely delivery of material to destination.
• Travel between job sites; overnight travel may be required.

Job Summary

Responsible for safely transporting material from a clients’ location and to an assigned destination for processing or disposal. Performs necessary tasks to load and unload material utilizing commercial trucks and/or heavy/agricultural equipment. (May include tankers and end dump trailers in an off road environment.)

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES

• Complete a daily truck log and submit reports of mileage covered at EOD
• Serve as a brand advocate and ambassador in every interaction with clients and the public
• Conduct daily inspections and perform preventative maintenance on the truck/equipment
• Comply with all DOT, state, local and in-house regulations, procedures, and rules
• Operate truck/equipment in a safe manner at all times
• Perform loading, unloading, and timely delivery of material to assigned/approved destination
• Travel from job site to job site or plant to job site. May involve overnight travel
• Clean bio-solids off truck/equipment before leaving the field site or landfill
• Perform shop clean up, maintenance, and equipment/tools setup

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCES

• Minimum HS Diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Valid Commercial Drivers’ License (CDL) Class A with Tanker Endorsement preferred
• Safe driving record: No serious tickets or accidents in last 5 years or DWI/DUI in last 10 years

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• The worker is subject to outside environmental conditions: No effective protection from weather
• The worker is subject atmospheric conditions: One or more of the following conditions that affect the respiratory system of the skin: Fumes, odors, dusts, mists, gases, or poor ventilation.
• The worker is subject to hazards: Includes a variety of physical conditions such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat or exposure to bio-solids.

Salary Range: $25.00-$27.00 per hour (commensurate with experience)
