Job summary

Synagro is seeking a driver/operator to perform hands-on work with heavy and agricultural equipment at field sites and plants. You’ll handle loading, unloading, and transporting materials while maintaining safety and accurate records.

The role requires a valid CDL Class A (preferred) and 2+ years of project work with 3+ years driving/heavy equipment experience, plus a clean driving record and willingness to travel. Competitive benefits and growth opportunities provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CDL Class A license preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of project work experience preferred.
• Minimum 3 years commercial driving/heavy or agricultural equipment experience preferred.
• Safe driving record: No serious tickets or accidents in last 5 years or DWI/DUI in last 10 years.
• Tanker Endorsement preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate truck/equipment in a safe manner at all times.
• Perform loading, unloading, and timely delivery of material to assigned/approved destination.
• Travel from job site to job site or plant to job site; may involve overnight travel.
• Clean bio-solids off truck/equipment before leaving field site or landfill.
• Serve as a brand advocate in every interaction with clients and the public.
• Conduct daily inspections and perform preventative maintenance on the truck/equipment.
• Perform shop clean up, maintenance, and equipment/tools setup.
• Maintain operation records.

JOB SUMMARY

Performs various project work which requires safely operating vehicles and a variety of heavy/agricultural equipment that may include, but not limited to; front end loader, belt press, centrifuge, dredger, spreader box, excavator, terragator, and road tractor.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Operate truck/equipment in a safe manner at all times
2. Perform loading, unloading, and timely delivery of material to assigned/approved destination
3. Travel from job site to job site or plant to job site. May involve overnight travel

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

2. Valid Drivers' License (CDL Class A license preferred)
3. Minimum 2 years of project work experience preferred
4. Minimum 3 years commercial driving/heavy or agricultural equipment experience preferred
5. Safe driving record: No serious tickets or accidents in last 5 years or DWI/DUI in last 10 years
6. Tanker Endorsement, preferred

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

1. Sitting, Climbing, Balancing, Reaching, Standing, Walking, Feeling, Lifting up to 50 lbs., Talking, Hearing, and Seeing
2. The worker is subject to confined spaces
3. The worker is subject to outside environmental conditions: No effective protection from weather
4. The worker is subject atmospheric conditions: One or more of the following conditions that affect the respiratory system of the skin: Fumes, odors, dusts, mists, gases, or poor ventilation.
5. The worker is subject to hazards: Includes a variety of physical conditions such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat or exposure to bio-solids
6. This position requires travel and overtime

Salary Range: $20.00-$23.00 per hour (commensurate with experience)
