Job summary

Swift Transportation seeks an HR/Operations support professional to supervise a cohort of new hire drivers and coordinate training through to solo status. You will mentor drivers, ensure timely pay, and align with leadership to meet performance goals.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in HR/operations, strong communication, and MS Office proficiency. This on-site role emphasizes driver development, DOT compliance, and a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience in human resources, customer service, or operations.
• Must be service-oriented and possess exceptional interpersonal skills.
• Must collaborate effectively and build consensus.
• Must solve problems and provide optimal resolutions to conflicts.
• Must perform well in high-pressure situations.
• Proficient with MS Office.
• Associate's degree in business or related field or equivalent experience.
• Qualified collector or able to become qualified within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a fleet of new hire drivers and support their progression to solo status.
• Provide feedback to leadership about driver interactions and training outcomes.
• Act as a cultural ambassador and ensure driver-focused solutions.
• Coordinate assessments of new drivers' progress and determine readiness for solo driving.
• Build relationships with new hire drivers and mentor teams to support training.
• Monitor driver progress and intervene to accelerate competency.
• Ensure accuracy of new hire driver pay and related processes.
• Provide coaching to Driver Leaders on transitions and team performance.
• Ensure compliance with DOT/Swift medical exams and hiring criteria.
