Job summary

Swift Transportation in Decatur, GA seeks a Driver Development Coordinator to coach new drivers from onboarding through solo qualification, fostering engagement and retention.

You will monitor training progress, partner with mentors and leadership, and ensure safety and timely payroll documentation in a team-oriented culture. This is a Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM role with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience training new drivers.
• Strong communication and coaching skills.
• Ability to obtain Qualified Collector certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Support and guide new drivers from onboarding through solo driver qualification.
• Monitor training progress and assess driver readiness.
• Build strong relationships that promote engagement and retention.
• Partner with driver mentors and leadership teams to ensure success.
• Facilitate engaging orientation and onboarding experiences.
• Resolve concerns and provide solutions that support drivers and business objectives.
• Ensure accurate and timely driver pay and compliance documentation.
• Promote Swift’s culture, values, and commitment to safety.
