Job summary

The role focuses on coaching drivers, optimizing schedules, and maintaining strong driver relations while upholding DOT regulations and safety standards. Responsibilities include daily review of pick-ups, routing for home time, monitoring KPIs, and providing leadership to drivers.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in transportation or supply chain preferred.
• Proven leadership and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to manage high volumes of inbound email and phone traffic.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships as coaches and advocates for our drivers across fleets.
• Review scheduled pick-ups and deliveries to ensure on-time performance.
• Route drivers for home time and secure equipment at authorized locations.
• Motivate drivers to hit KPIs such as utilization, service, safety, retention and optimization.
• Counsel drivers who violate safety standards or DOT rules and arrange retraining.
• Communicate service disruptions to internal teams to keep deliveries on time.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and support to assigned drivers.
• Provide real-time data to system(s) of record for load assignments and tracking.
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.

Department:OperationsJob Description:JOB SUMMARY: We are seeking a Fleet Manager to be responsible for managing and supervising all inbound and outbound/events for an assigned fleet of non-union, long-haul drivers to guarantee safe, on-time delivery.
