Job summary

Ridgewood by Heritage Communities in Bennington, NE is looking for a Driver/Maintenance Assistant to support our residents and maintain community spaces. You’ll transport residents, perform repairs, and help keep facilities safe and welcoming.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year maintenance experience, a valid driver’s license, and strong teamwork. CPR/First Aid certification is preferred. We offer competitive benefits and a supportive, home-like culture.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in maintenance, minor repairs, painting, and grounds upkeep.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record (Chauffer’s license is required in the state of Iowa).
• Compassionate communication and teamwork skills.
• Current CPR/First Aid certification (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Safely transporting residents to various locations via company car, van, or bus, coordinating pick-ups and drop-offs with them, and maintaining accurate vehicle records.
• Performing apartment reconditioning tasks, including fixture installation and general repairs.
• Maintaining all areas of the community to the highest standard, ensuring proper record-keeping for work orders, certifications, and scheduling.
• Assisting in safety preparedness of associates and residents, participating in Safety Committee Meetings, fire drills, and other emergency exercises.
