Qualifications

• Two years of work experience affording public contact and knowledge of Maine motor vehicle laws.
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Successful candidates will pass a National Criminal Background check (fingerprinting may be required).
• Ability to travel statewide and to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Responsabilités

• Administers and scores road skills tests for multiple vehicle classes and special examinations.
• Administers and scores written and oral examinations on traffic laws and test results.
• Performs vision screening to determine license eligibility.
• Operates digital photo licensing equipment and related software to issue licenses.
• Explains laws, policies and procedures to applicants and answers inquiries.
• Maintains testing equipment, forms, and supplies, ensuring readiness.
