Qualifications

• One year of experience as a Driver License Examiner Assistant (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or two years of experience obtaining, evaluating, and providing information to the public.
• Active Pennsylvania non-commercial Class C Driver's License and twenty-one years of age at the time of application.
• No suspensions or revocations of a driver's license during the five year period immediately preceding employment.
• All employees hired after February 28, 2022, are required to obtain an active unrestricted Class M driver's license within the first six months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Applicant Evaluation: Determine physical qualifications and review vehicles and vision tests for compliance.
• Test Administration: Conduct knowledge and skills examinations for non-commercial and commercial applicants.
• Document Verification: Examine identity records, legal documents, and residency materials for authenticity.
• System Authentication: Use databases to confirm identity and detect fraud or improper documentation.
• Product Issuance: Process test results and issue driver licenses or identification cards to eligible applicants.
• Audit Support: Assist with audits of Third Party Examiners and CDL test sites for contract compliance.
