Position Summary:
As a Lead Teacher, you will plan lessons and instruct children in activities according to an approved curriculum designed to promote social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth and development. You will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a safe and healthy learning environment. Additionally, you will promote and participate in all center functions, communicate with, and develop positive relationships with all family members.
Duties:
- Implement weekly curricula which address all learning goals
- Provide direction to other staff in the classroom
- Organize and adhere to a daily schedule
- Follow all State and Discovery Point policies and regulations
- Communicate professionally and kindly with parents, staff, and management
- Create a welcoming, positive atmosphere in the classroom
- Maintain safety and cleanliness of the classroom at all times
Essential Functions / Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare lesson plans and instruct children in age-appropriate activities
- Set up and maintain a safe, fun, and suitable learning environment
- Clean and sanitize classroom, materials, and restrooms regularly
- Ensure the classroom is clean and ready for tours at all times
- Treat children with dignity and respect, displaying friendliness, enthusiasm, and care
- Recognize and consider each child's background, talents, interests, and learning style and pace
- Provide developmentally appropriate activities
- Establish and maintain a safe and healthy learning environment
- Report injuries or accidents immediately and complete necessary forms
- Supervise children according to center and state regulations
- Participate in activities in the classroom and playgrounds appropriate for children
- Plan and conduct parent conferences; provide daily written feedback as appropriate
- Collaborate with the Center Director and/or Owner on parent follow-up and communication
- Maintain confidentiality of all children's and families' information
- Report suspected abuse or neglect as mandated by state regulations
- Attend all staff meetings, training sessions, and programs
- Complete annual state licensing training requirements
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director and/or Owner
Qualifications:
- Meet state licensing requirements for education and experience
- Knowledge of early childhood education and curriculum
- Knowledge of child care licensing rules and regulations
- Ability to obtain CPR/Fire Safety and other required training
- Hold a CDA/degree in ECE
- Able to meet state background check requirements
Education Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- CDA or Staff Credential
Position Summary:
As a Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting children in a bus from our center to school and back. Teachers will assist with drop-off and pick-up of children.
Qualifications:
- Valid CDL license and a clean driving record
- Flexible schedule
- Meet all state requirements for Childcare Driver
