Job summary

MTM Transit in Lake Isabella, CA is hiring a Driver to provide safe, reliable transportation for Kern Transit customers. The role emphasizes courteous service, strict safety standards, and on-time performance.

You will assist passengers, manage mobility devices as needed, and perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections. Starting pay is $19.89 per hour with benefits including health, dental, vision, 401(k) with company match, PTO, and more.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license for the past 5 years.
• California Class B CDL with passenger endorsements required.
• No felony convictions in the last 5 years; no DUI/DWI in last 10 years.
• Must pass DOT physical and pre-employment drug screen.
• Background and Motor Vehicle Record checks required.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and reliable transportation to customers.
• Demonstrate defensive driving skills and courteous service.
• Load/unload passengers as needed and assist with mobility devices.
• Ensure on-time pickup and drop-off according to schedules.
• Complete vehicle pre-trip/post-trip inspections and required paperwork.
• Operate tablets or electronic devices for routing and records.
