Job summary

Med Resources in the Midwest is seeking a reliable Driver/HME technician to deliver and install durable medical equipment, including wheelchairs, oxygen tanks, and hospital beds, to patients in their homes using company vans. You will set up equipment and demonstrate its use while ensuring patient satisfaction and compliance with company policies.

You’ll also assist the warehouse team, maintain logs and documentation, coordinate with dispatch, and follow DOT safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Must have insurance and a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Able to lift and move heavy medical equipment (50 lb lift test).
• Ability to read maps and navigate delivery routes.
• Strong communication and customer service, professional demeanor.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Deliver and set up durable medical equipment, such as wheelchairs, oxygen tanks, hospital beds, and other assistive devices to patients using company vans.
• Assist with setting up and demonstrating equipment use, ensuring patient satisfaction and compliance with company policies.
• Assist the warehouse team when not performing duties outlined above. Includes unloading and restocking assigned van, cleaning and checking equipment, and general warehouse duties as needed.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs, service records, and patient documentation.
• Communicate with dispatch, patients and caregivers regarding delivery schedules and special needs.
• Perform routine vehicle checks, report any maintenance issues and keep assigned van neat and organized.
• Follow all DOT regulations and company safety procedures.
