Job summary

AdvaCare Systems is seeking a Service Technician in Chicago, IL to deliver, install and troubleshoot Durable Medical Equipment. This role requires driving a company 16’ box truck, instructing patients and caregivers on equipment use, and maintaining friendly, professional service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Candidates must be at least 21 and hold a driver’s license for 5+ years.
• 1+ years of delivery and/or healthcare experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks.
• DOT Medical Examiner’s Card is required or must be obtained.
• Clean driving record and passing pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and install medical equipment safely and timely.
• Operate a company-owned 16' box truck safely.
• Instruct patients and caregivers on equipment use.
• Troubleshoot equipment in the field.
• Complete orders in the inventory system accurately.

Job Location: Chicago, IL 60641

Salary Range: $19.00 - $20.00 Hourly

The Service Technician is a driving position responsible for the delivery, set up, pick up and troubleshooting of Durable Medical Equipment (DME).

Job Duties

• Deliver and install Medical Equipment in a safe and timely manner.
• Safe operation of a company-owned 16’ Box Truck.
• Instructing patients, family members, and caregivers on equipment functions while maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor.
• Minor repair and equipment troubleshooting while in the field.
• Thorough and accurate completion of all orders on a proprietary web-based inventory management system.

Shift Information

• Service Technician candidates must be willing/able to work overtime hours, as well as be available for rotating On-Call shifts, which include Weekends and Evenings.
• Company vehicles are equipped with onboard dash cameras (frontward facing and in-cabin) for safety purposes.

Sign-On Bonus

All Service Technicians are Eligible for a $1,000 Signing Bonus paid out in $500 increments at their six and twelve-month anniversaries with AdvaCare Systems.
