Job summary

Augment in Granite Quarry, NC is hiring a Driver Helper to support residential and commercial waste and recycling routes. You will ride with a professional driver, assist with pickups, and help ensure timely collections in varying weather.

This full-time, outdoor role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and physical fitness, including lifting up to 75 lbs and moving quickly between stops. Training provided, background check required.

Qualifications

• Dependable and ready to work early morning shifts.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and move on your feet for extended periods.
• Enjoys outdoor work in all weather conditions.
• Team player with a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
• Prior experience in general labor, warehouse, construction, or landscaping is a plus—but not required.
• Background check and drug screening required.

Responsibilities

• Ride along designated routes to assist the driver with pickups.
• Lift and load waste and recycling containers onto the truck.
• Operate the lifting mechanism (when trained) to empty bins.
• Walk and move quickly from stop to stop—this is a physically active role!
• Ensure all materials are collected safely and professionally.
• Help keep the vehicle clean and communicate route issues to the driver or supervisor.
