Job summary

Maersk Logistics & Services USA, Inc. in Windsor, CT seeks a Driver Helper to assist the driver with daily delivery and warehouse duties, including loading, unloading, and verifying freight.

You will support route execution and help move freight to customer locations while upholding safety and customer service standards. The role requires teamwork, attention to detail, and the ability to work M-F, 4x10 hour shifts with a rotating day off.

Qualifications

• Ability to read maps and maintain geographic awareness.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. unassisted.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work overtime and flexible schedules when required.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow written instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to speak, read, and write in English.

Responsibilities

• Accurately load and secure freight for daily delivery routes.
• Scan and verify all route freight before departure.
• Assist drivers with route navigation and delivery coordination.
• Help transport freight to customer business and residential locations.
• Pull, stage, load, and unload freight using manifests and established operating procedures.
• Perform material-handling duties, including picking, packing, scanning, kitting, and inventory counts.
• Identify and report overages, shortages, and damages (OS&D).
• Safely operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, when trained and authorized.
• Follow detailed work instructions in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain compliance with TSA, OSHA, company safety requirements, and customer-site rules.
• Provide professional customer service and perform additional duties as assigned.
