Job summary

DO & CO is hiring a Driver Helper to join their New York team. Responsibilities include loading flights into catering vehicles, assisting drivers, and ensuring compliance with aviation and food safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Must have Valid Driver’s License.
• Able to lift, push, pull and move product, equipment and supplies.
• Willing to work nights, weekends and holidays.
• Able to work independently as well as in a team.

Responsibilities

• Load flights into catering vehicles and assist drivers in doing so.
• Perform completing activities to ensure quality controlled flights such as adding missing items, ice, and informing flight assembly of missing carts or bulk items.
• Assist drivers with loading, off-loading, pick-up and delivery of goods and materials.
• Load/unload aircraft according to airline and DO & CO regulations and specifications and ensure flights are catered correctly.
• Ensure all vehicles are maintained in full working condition and report any vehicle irregularities to dispatch.
• Comply with all airports, airlines and other applicable rules/regulations.
• Comply with food, safety and hygiene regulations as stated in the food safety management system handbook and report problems to management.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Responsibilities

• Load flights into catering vehicles and assist drivers in doing so.
• Perform completing activities to ensure quality controlled flights such as, but not limited to: Add missing items, add ice, inform flight assembly of missing carts, canisters or bulk loaded items.
• Assist drivers with loading, off-loading, pick-up and delivery of goods and materials.
• Load/unload aircraft according to airline and DO & CO regulations and specifications and ensure flights are always catered correctly.
• Ensure all vehicles are maintained in full working condition (including fueling and pre/post checks) and report any vehicle irregularities to dispatch immediately.
• Comply with all airports, airlines and other applicable rules/regulations.
• Comply with food, safety and hygiene regulations as stated in the food safety management system handbook and report problems with the food safety management system to their manager and the hygiene and food safety team.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Must have Valid Driver’s License.
• Proactive and self-organized.
• Able to manage through a substantial workload.
• Capable of working independently as well as in a team environment.
• Able to complete assigned tasks within the given time to meet strict deadlines.
• Must be able to lift, push, pull,and move product, equipment and supplies up to seventy-five (75) pounds.
• All airport-related positions require applicants to successfully complete the mandatory airport security clearance process for their assigned location. This includes meeting all TSA and U.S. Customs requirements, as outlined in 49 CFR §1542.209, and obtaining the appropriate airport-issued identification badge (e.g., SIDA, AOA, or equivalent), in accordance with local airport authority regulations.
• Ability to work long hours on foot and in environments with varying temperatures.
• Flexibility to work different shifts (including nights, weekends, and holidays) based on business needs.
