Job summary

DO & CO in Boston is seeking a dynamic Driver Helper to support catering operations, loading and unloading goods, and assisting with deliveries on flights. You will coordinate with dispatch to ensure correct catering and maintain vehicles in safe, clean condition while complying with all airport regulations.

The role demands the ability to work outdoors in varying weather, lift up to 75 pounds, and adapt to early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of loading/unloading or related logistics experience.
• High school diploma preferred.
• Valid driving license required.
• Capable to work independently and as part of a team.
• Able to lift up to seventy-five pounds and work at heights.

Responsibilities

• Assist catering operations with loading, unloading, pick-up and delivery of goods and materials for flights.
• Load/unload aircraft according to regulations and ensure flights are catered correctly.
• Maintain vehicles’ condition, report irregularities to dispatch/management.
• Comply with airport rules, safety, and food hygiene regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist catering operations with loading, unloading, pick-up and delivery of goods and materials. Load/unload aircraft according to airline and DO & CO regulations and specifications and ensure flights are always catered correctly.
• Ensure all vehicles are maintained in full working condition (including cleanliness, fueling, and pre/post checks) and reports any vehicle irregularities to dispatch/management immediately.
• Comply with all airports, airlines, and other applicable rules/regulations.
• Comply with food, safety and hygiene regulations as stated in the food safety management system handbook and report problems with the food safety management system to their manager and the hygiene and food safety team.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in loading, unloading or any related logistics activities.
• High school diploma preferred
• Valid driving license required
• Capable to work independently, as well as in a team environment
• Will be exposed to extreme temperature changes and noise
• Majority of duties performed outside in all weather conditions
• Must be able to lift, push, pull, move product, equipment and supplies up to seventy-five (75) pounds
• Must be able to work at heights up to 20-25 feet
• Regularly stands, bends, lifts, and moves intermittently during shifts of 8+ hours
• All airport-related positions require applicants to successfully complete the mandatory airport security clearance process for their assigned location. This includes meeting all TSA and U.S. Customs requirements, as outlined in 49 CFR 1542.209, and obtaining the appropriate airport-issued identification badge (e.g., SIDA, AOA, or equivalent), in accordance with local airport authority regulations.
• Ability to work long hours on foot and in environments with varying temperatures.
• Flexibility to work different shifts (including nights, weekends, and holidays) based on business needs.
