Job summary

DO & CO is seeking a Driver Helper to support our New York team. You will assist drivers with loading and unloading, prepare flight-ready cargo, and help ensure catering accuracy for each flight.

This role requires a valid driver’s license, the ability to lift up to 75 pounds, and flexible hours including nights and weekends. You’ll work in a fast-paced airport environment and must complete TSA security clearance, representing DO & CO with professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Load airline catering equipment, meals, and supplies into catering vehicles and assist drivers throughout loading.
• Complete final flight checks to ensure items are present and flights are catered accurately.
• Assist with loading, unloading, pickup, and delivery of goods.
• Support loading/unloading of aircraft according to DO & CO procedures and regulations.
• Assist with vehicle fueling and pre/post-operation checks.
• Report vehicle damage or regulatory concerns to Dispatch.
• Follow all airport, airline and company regulations; adhere to food safety guidelines.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Responsibilities

• Load airline catering equipment, meals, and supplies into catering vehicles and assist drivers throughout the loading process.
• Complete final flight checks to ensure all required items are present and flights are catered accurately.
• Add missing items and ice as needed and notify the Flight Assembly team of missing carts, canisters, or bulk-loaded items.
• Assist drivers with loading, unloading, pickup, and delivery of goods and materials.
• Support the loading and unloading of aircraft according to airline and DO & CO procedures, regulations, and specifications.
• Assist with required vehicle fueling and pre- and post-operation checks.
• Immediately report vehicle damage, mechanical concerns, or other irregularities to Dispatch.
• Comply with all airport, airline, company, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Follow all food safety and hygiene regulations outlined in the Food Safety Management System handbook.
• Report food safety concerns or system issues to management and the Hygiene and Food Safety team.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required.
• Proactive, dependable, and well-organized.
• Comfortable managing a substantial workload in a fast-paced environment.
• Works effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Capable of completing assigned tasks efficiently while meeting strict deadlines.
• Ability to safely lift, push, pull, and move products, equipment, and supplies weighing up to 75 pounds.
• Comfortable standing and working on your feet for extended periods and in environments with varying temperatures.
• Flexible availability, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must successfully complete the mandatory airport security-clearance process for the assigned location. This includes meeting all TSA and U.S. Customs requirements, as outlined in 49 CFR 1542.209, and obtaining the appropriate airport-issued identification badge, such as a SIDA, AOA, or equivalent badge, in accordance with local airport authority regulations.
