Job summary

Riddle Village, a lifecare retirement community, seeks a Full-Time CDL Driver to join our team. The Driver provides safe, timely transportation to residents, guests, and visitors, driving to local sites and events in facility vehicles.

The role requires a PA CDL, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a verifiable safe driving record. Previous transportation experience is preferred and duties may include assisting at the Concierge desk and occasional lifting or maintenance tasks.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Must possess a current Commercial Driver's License as required by Pennsylvania.
• Must have a verifiable safe driving record.
• Must have a thorough knowledge of the metropolitan and surrounding area.
• Must have a genuine interest in geriatric care and uphold the facility's philosophy.
• Previous transportation experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, timely transportation to residents, guests, and designated visitors.
• Drive facility vehicles to local restaurants, shopping centers, physician offices, and other locations.
• Maintain vehicle logs, purchase gas, and schedule preventive maintenance.
• Keep interior and exterior of vehicles clean and presentable at all times (including washing).
• Provide general assistance at the Concierge desk as needed and perform other duties.
• Work in well-maintained vehicles and in well-lit, ventilated buildings; day and night shifts are possible.
• May be required to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally and up to 10 pounds frequently.
• Follow safety procedures and handle chemicals used for vehicle maintenance.

About the Driver Position:

The Driver provides safe, timely transportation to residents, guests, and designated visitors. This entails driving facility vehicles to local restaurants, shopping centers, physician offices, and other various locations, as well as special activities and events, as scheduled and assigned. The Driver shall maintain vehicle logs, purchase gas, and keep preventative maintenance and inspection schedules current for all facility vehicles. The Driver must perform minor vehicular maintenance as needed and ensure the interior and exterior of the vehicles are kept clean and presentable at all times. This can include washing vehicles. The Driver may be asked to provide general assistance at the Concierge desk and perform other related or unrelated duties as assigned by authorized personnel or as required to meet emergency or other specific situations. The Driver will work in well-maintained, clean, and modern vehicles and may also work in a well-lit, well-ventilated building. The Driver may work during the day and night, and in varied weather conditions. The Driver will be subject to walking, climbing, kneeling, and lifting. He/she may also come in contact with chemicals associated with the maintenance and cleaning of vehicles.

Job Requirements:

• Must have a High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Must possess a current Commercial Driver's License as currently required by the State of Pennsylvania
• Must have a verifiable safe driving record
• Must have a thorough knowledge of the metropolitan and surrounding area
• Must have a genuine interest in geriatric care and believe in and uphold the philosophy of the facility.
• Must present a well-groomed appearance and demonstrate a courteous, friendly, patient, and congenial manner at all times.
• Previous transportation experience is preferred.
• Must be able to exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and up to 10 pounds of force frequently.
• Must have excellent customer service skills
