Job summary

The Arbor Company in Marietta, GA is seeking a Driver/Activities Assistant to transport residents as scheduled, perform daily vehicle checks, and assist with activities when no appointments are set. You will ensure residents are safely seated and follow driving laws.

You’ll maintain logs, carry Emergency Contact Sheets, and contribute to our six-dimensional engagement program to help residents thrive and stay connected with the community.

Responsibilities

• Transport residents as scheduled and ensure safety of passengers.
• Perform daily checks on bus/vehicles used for transportation.
• Assist residents with activities when no appointments are scheduled.
• Provide meaningful engagement opportunities to residents through the 6-dimensional program.
• Maintain records and Emergency Contact Sheets for on-board residents.

Driver/ Activities Assistant Job Summary:

The Driver/Activities Assistant shall be responsible for the transportation of residents as scheduled. The Driver/Activities Assistant will also be responsible for the maintenance and daily checks on the bus and or vehicles used for transportation purposes. The Driver/Activities Assistant will also assist with resident activities when no appointments are scheduled.

Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Assist residents in entering and/or exiting vehicle or bus making sure residents are safely secured according to motor vehicle laws.

• Assist residents by delivering packages or purchases obtained while out on shopping excursions, activities, etc.

• Obey all state motor vehicle and driving laws at all time, ensuring the safe transportation of residents.

• Feeds list/log of who goes on vehicles and carries Emergency Contact Sheet of all on board.

• You will provide meaningful and engaging opportunities for our residents to thrive and improve their overall health and spirit through our 6-dimensional engagement program

• You will make a positive contribution to the lives of our residents and families through building deep connections.
