Job summary

The Arbor Company is seeking a Driver/Activities Assistant to transport residents and support daily activities. The role includes vehicle safety checks, aiding residents in boarding, and helping with resident activities when not scheduled for appointments.

You will contribute to residents' well-being through our engagement program and help build meaningful connections with families and residents daily.

Responsibilities

• Transport residents safely to and from the vehicle or bus.
• Assist with resident activities when no appointments are scheduled.
• Deliver packages or purchases during outings.
• Maintain daily checks on vehicles used for transportation.
• Log passengers and carry emergency contact sheets for all on board.
• Contribute to residents' health and spirit through the 6-dimensional engagement program.

Driver/ Activities Assistant Job Summary:

The Driver/Activities Assistant shall be responsible for the transportation of residents as scheduled. The Driver/Activities Assistant will also be responsible for the maintenance and daily checks on the bus and or vehicles used for transportation purposes. The Driver/Activities Assistant will also assist with resident activities when no appointments are scheduled.

Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Assist residents in entering and/or exiting vehicle or bus making sure residents are safely secured according to motor vehicle laws.
• Assist residents by delivering packages or purchases obtained while out on shopping excursions, activities, etc.
• Obey all state motor vehicle and driving laws at all time, ensuring the safe transportation of residents.
• Feeds list/log of who goes on vehicles and carries Emergency Contact Sheet of all on board.
• You will provide meaningful and engaging opportunities for our residents to thrive and improve their overall health and spirit through our 6-dimensional engagement program
• You will make a positive contribution to the lives of our residents and families through building deep connections.
