Job summary

The Arbor Company is seeking a Driver/Activities Assistant to transport residents as scheduled, perform vehicle checks, and support daily resident activities. You will help residents enter and exit safely and assist with shopping deliveries, while following traffic laws and safety protocols.

You will contribute to our 6-dimensional engagement program, create meaningful connections with residents and families, and bring creativity to make each day engaging.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents entering/exiting vehicles safely.
• Deliver packages or purchases during outings.
• Follow all state motor vehicle laws and drive safely at all times.
• Maintain a log of passengers and emergency contacts for all on board.
• Provide engaging opportunities for residents through the 6-dimensional engagement program.
• Foster deep connections with residents and their families.

Driver/ Activities Assistant Job Summary:

The Driver/Activities Assistant shall be responsible for the transportation of residents as scheduled. The Driver/Activities Assistant will also be responsible for the maintenance and daily checks on the bus and or vehicles used for transportation purposes. The Driver/Activities Assistant will also assist with resident activities when no appointments are scheduled.

Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Assist residents in entering and/or exiting vehicle or bus making sure residents are safely secured according to motor vehicle laws.
• Assist residents by delivering packages or purchases obtained while out on shopping excursions, activities, etc.
• Obey all state motor vehicle and driving laws at all time, ensuring the safe transportation of residents.
• Feeds list/log of who goes on vehicles and carries Emergency Contact Sheet of all on board.
• You will provide meaningful and engaging opportunities for our residents to thrive and improve their overall health and spirit through our 6-dimensional engagement program
• You will make a positive contribution to the lives of our residents and families through building deep connections.
