Job summary

AltaMed Health Services Corp. seeks a DOT-CDL driver to provide fixed route coverage for the Transportation Department and to support specialty appointments during downtime. You will assist clients traveling to and from home, PACE Center facilities, and other specialty visits.

Requirements include a CA Class B CDL with P endorsement, a clean driving record, and at least two years of driving experience. LA DOT city permit eligibility and a BLS certification are also expected.

Job Overview

This position will be responsible for providing fixed route coverage for the Transportation Department. It also includes coverage for all specialty appointments during the fixed routes downtime, providing special assistance for clients requiring transportation to and from home, PACE Center facilities, and specialty appointments. The Driver (DOT-CDL) must comply with all DOT regulations.

Minimum Requirements

• A current State of California Class B driver's license with P endorsement for multiple passengers and a clean driving record within the past 3 years.
• Minimum two years of driving experience; experience working with geriatric and/or frail elderly populations preferred.
• Ability to obtain an LA DOT city permit.
• Valid BLS certification or higher, following the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross guidelines.

Compensation

Pay starts at $25.75 per hour.

Actual salary offers are considered by various factors, including budget, experience, skills, education, licensure and certifications. The range is subject to change. This role may also qualify for discretionary bonuses or incentives.
