Job summary

U.S. Xpress is seeking a Driver Development Specialist in Ellenwood, GA. You will deliver driver training in classroom, one-on-one, and hands-on settings, using simulators and e-learning to improve driver skills and safety.

You will maintain records, coach drivers, and collaborate with Operations and Safety to ensure compliance with DOT/FMCSR. Strong presentation and coaching skills are essential, along with a willingness to travel up to 25% and stay current with industry regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3+ years in training/development delivery.
• 3+ years of OTR Class A CDL experience preferred.
• Experience as a third-party tester or CVTA Master Instructor preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver driver training in classroom, one-on-one, and hands-on settings.
• Present information using role-playing, simulations, and videos.
• Facilitate simulator training and maintain content knowledge.
• Provide one-on-one coaching for at-risk drivers to support program completion.
• Maintain records of attendance, class completions, and evaluations.
