Job summary

U.S. Xpress is seeking a Specialist, Driver Development to deliver driver training across classroom and hands-on environments. You will lead simulator and on-road programs, maintain records, and coach drivers in alignment with DOT regulations and company policies.

Candidates should have 3+ years in training delivery, a Class-A CDL preferred, and strong presentation and collaboration skills for working with Operations and Safety teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's preferred.
• 3+ years in training/development delivery.
• CDL Class-A experience preferred or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Deliver driver training in classroom, one-on-one, and hands-on settings.
• Develop and implement simulator training and content.
• Maintain records of attendance, completions, and coaching sessions.
• Coach drivers to comply with DOT/FMSCA and company policies.
• Collaborate with Operations and Safety to address violations and improve skills.
• Lead regular in-person trainings and cross-functional meetings.
