Job summary

ST. FRANCOIS MANOR in Farmington, MO is seeking a Driver/CNA to join our team and assist residents with mobility and transportation.

You will safely operate a motor vehicle, assist ambulatory and non-ambulatory individuals, and help residents enter and exit vehicles while maintaining safety. Qualifications

• Valid driver's license.
• Six to 12 months of work experience operating, loading, and unloading a motor vehicle.
• Ability to lift, maneuver, and support up to 75 pounds.

• Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in long term care is a plus.

Responsibilities

ST. FRANCOIS MANOR, located in Farmington, Missouri is currently seeking a Driver/CNA to join our team.

Driver/CNA Duties and Responsibilities:

• The safe and efficient operation of assigned motor vehicle
• Extensive contact with patients/ residents of a nursing home facility
• Scheduling and managing resident appointments
• Assisting ambulatory and non-ambulatory individuals enter and leave the vehicle
• Ensuring that passengers are safely seated inside the motor vehicle
• Securing residents' mobility devices such as walkers and wheelchairs
• Performing preventive maintenance functions such as checking lights, maintaining fluid levels, checking tire pressure, etc. and notifying supervisory personnel of need for further service or repair

Driver/CNA Qualifications and Skills:

• Basic knowledge of methods and techniques used to load, secure, and unload passengers from a motor vehicle
• Skill in the operation and basic maintenance of assigned motor vehicle
• Ability to find geographic locations
• Ability to follow oral/ written instructions and keep a record of activities
• Ability to lift, maneuver, and support materials of up to 75 pounds
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with residents and staff
• Possession of a valid driver's license
• Six to 12 months of work experience operating, loading, and unloading a motor vehicle
• Any equivalent combination of acceptable training and experience which has provided the knowledge, skills, and abilities stated above
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities or experience working in long term care a plus
• Great phone skills and organizational multitasking
