Job summary

Redwood Terrace, a premier Life Plan Community located in Escondido, CA, is hiring a full-time Driver to join our team. The role requires greeting residents and transporting them safely to appointments and activities within the community.

The position offers a full-time schedule with pay ranging from $21.00–$25.00 per hour and rotation of weekend coverage. Benefits and a supportive Resident Services team are part of the package.

Qualifications

• One year of driving experience required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• CDL Class B with passenger endorsement required.
• Must successfully pass an FMCSA Clearinghouse query for Class B CDL drivers.

Responsibilities

• Greet residents, team members, and visitors in a warm, confident manner.
• Ensure the safe travel of residents, visitors, and team members within the community.
• Transport residents in cars, trams, buses and/or vans to appointments, local shopping, and activities.
• Assist with carrying packages, groceries, and luggage within the community.

* Full-Time Schedule, pay range from $21.00-$25.00/hr. (must be able to rotate weekend coverage)

The Driver position is responsible for greeting all residents, team members, and visitors in a warm, confident, and knowledgeable manner. Driver is responsible for ensuring the safe travel of the residents, visitors, and team members of the community. Works as a member of the Resident Services team to deliver excellence in hospitality and customer service.She/he is responsible for assisting with carrying of packages, groceries, and luggage for transportation within the community. Transports residents in cars, trams, busses and/or vans to appointments, local shopping, and/or activities; provides assistance to the residents; and maintains and may clean the vehicle(s).

To be successful in this role you will need:

• One year’s driving experience required


• A high school diploma or equivalent preferred


• Valid California driver’s license with a favorable driving record


• CDL Class B with passenger endorsement is required


• Must successfully pass an FMCSA Clearinghouse query for Class B CDL drivers
