Job summary

GSC Wholesale LLC in Coppell, Texas, seeks a Professional Driver to begin with a Driver Trainer who will provide coaching and insight on the C&S Way, including company and regulatory requirements. After training, you will deliver products to customers while maintaining high safety and service standards in DOT-compliant operations.

You will load and unload at 3–10 stops per day, inspect equipment, and perform duties in a safe and timely manner, with travel as needed to support customer

Qualifications

• Requires DOT certification and a valid Class A CDL.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid DOT physical exam.
• Comply with FMCSR/DOT and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Operate a CMV (semi-truck/eighteen-wheeler/box truck) to transport and deliver product.
• Load and unload (ambient or temperature sensitive) product to customers on an average of 3-10 stops per day.
• Inspect, document and ensure equipment is operable in compliance with regulatory and company requirements.
• Inspect equipment in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• All other duties as assigned.

Position Overview

C&S Wholesale Grocers desires to create the most safe, efficient, and service forward fleet in the country. As a Professional Driver with C&S Wholesale Grocers, you will start your driving career with the company by working with a Professional Driver Trainer (PDT) who will provide coaching and insight on the C&S Way which includes company and regulatory requirements. Once you have successfully completed our new hire training program, you will maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through deliveries of product and services while performing all other assigned duties. All functions must be completed in a safe and timely manner and in accordance with the Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.

• Utilizing the specialized skills developed with experience and the C&S Professional Driver Training Program, you will operate a Commercial Motor Vehicle (semi-truck/eighteen-wheeler/box truck, etc…), applying knowledge of training and commercial driving regulations, to transport and safely deliver product
• Driver will load and unload (ambient or temperature sensitive) product to customers on an average of 3-10 stops per day
• Driver will inspect, document and ensure equipment is operable in compliance with all regulatory and company requirements

Years Of Experience

• 1-2 : Minimum 1 year of recent tractor-trailer experience
• 1-2 : Supporting a large Enterprise Storage environment
