Job summary

GSC Wholesale LLC seeks a Professional Driver to operate CMVs and deliver products to customers from our Houston area locations. You will train with a Professional Driver Trainer (PDT) and complete a new-hire program before maintaining high customer satisfaction through safe, timely deliveries in compliance with DOT regulations.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading, inspecting equipment, and adhering to all company and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid DOT-certified Class A CDL.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid Department Of Transportation Physical Exam.
• DOT certified with all qualification requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate CMV (semi-truck/eighteen-wheeler/box truck) to transport and safely deliver product.
• Load and unload (ambient or temperature sensitive) product to customers on 3–10 stops per day.
• Inspect, document and ensure equipment is operable in compliance with regulatory and company requirements.
• Inspect equipment in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Position Overview

C&S Wholesale Grocers desires to create the most safe, efficient, and service forward fleet in the country. As a Professional Driver with C&S Wholesale Grocers, you will start your driving career with the company by working with a Professional Driver Trainer (PDT) who will provide coaching and insight on the C&S Way which includes company and regulatory requirements. Once you have successfully completed our new hire training program, you will maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through deliveries of product and services while performing all other assigned duties. All functions must be completed in a safe and timely manner and in accordance with the Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.

Description

• Utilizing the specialized skills developed with experience and the C&S Professional Driver Training Program, you will operate a Commercial Motor Vehicle (semi-truck/eighteen-wheeler/box truck, etc), applying knowledge of training and commercial driving regulations, to transport and safely deliver product

• Driver will load and unload (ambient or temperature sensitive) product to customers on an average of 3-10 stops per day

• Driver will inspect, document and ensure equipment is operable in compliance with all regulatory and company requirements

• Inspect equipment in accordance with regulatory requirements

• All other duties as assigned

Skills
