C&S Wholesale Grocers is seeking a Professional Driver to begin a career under a trainer, adhering to DOT regulations and company standards. You will learn the C&S Way, maintain safety, and deliver products to customers with high service levels.

Compensation includes $30/hr, a $5k sign-on bonus, health insurance after 90 days, and a 401(k) with company match. Home daily regional routes and various scheduling perks are offered.

Position Overview

C&S Wholesale Grocers desires to create the most safe, efficient, and service forward fleet in the country. As a Professional Driver with C&S Wholesale Grocers, you will start your driving career with the company by working with a Professional Driver Trainer (PDT) who will provide coaching and insight on the C&S Way which includes company and regulatory requirements. Once you have successfully completed our new hire training program, you will maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through deliveries of product and services while performing all other assigned duties. All functions must be completed in a safe and timely manner and in accordance with the Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.

Responsibilities

• Utilizing the specialized skills developed with experience and the C&S Professional Driver Training Program, you will operate a Commercial Motor Vehicle (semi-truck/eighteen-wheeler/box truck, etc…), applying knowledge of training and commercial driving regulations, to transport and safely deliver product


• Driver will load and unload (ambient or temperature sensitive) product to customers on an average of 3-10 stops per day


• Driver will inspect, document and ensure equipment is operable in compliance with all regulatory and company requirements


• Inspect equipment in accordance with regulatory requirements


• All other duties as assigned
