Job summary

This 1st shift role involves loading/unloading ambient or temperature sensitive items, handling 3–10 stops daily, and maintaining high customer satisfaction with on-time

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old and DOT certified with all qualification requirements.

• Must have a valid DOT physical exam.
• Must comply with FMCSA, DOT and company policies and procedures.
• Electronic logging in accordance with company policy and FMCSA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload ambient or temperature sensitive product, typically 3–10 stops per day.
• Inspect, document, and ensure truck and equipment are operable and compliant.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and comply with regulatory requirements.
• Carry out all other duties as assigned.

Position Overview

C&S Wholesale Grocers desires to create the most safe, efficient, and service forward fleet in the country. As a Professional Driver with C&S Wholesale Grocers, you will start your driving career with the company by working with a Professional Driver Trainer (PDT) who will provide coaching and insight on the C&S Way which includes company and regulatory requirements. Once you have successfully completed our new hire training program, you will maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through deliveries of product and services while performing all other assigned duties. All functions must be completed in a safe and timely manner and in accordance with the Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.

Job Description

Experienced delivery driver with medcard $24.50/hr - 100% touch freight

Utilizing the specialized skills developed with experience and the C&S Professional Driver Training Program, you will operate a Commercial Motor Vehicle (semi-truck/eighteen-wheeler/box truck, etc…), applying knowledge of training and commercial driving regulations, to transport and safely deliver product.

• Driver will load and unload (ambient or temperature sensitive) product to customers on an average of 3-10 stops per day
• Driver will inspect, document and ensure equipment is operable in compliance with all regulatory and company requirements
• Inspect equipment in accordance with regulatory requirements
• All other duties as assigned

• Warehouse : Perishable Warehouse (28F to 60F)
• Warehouse : Store/Grocery Warehouse (50F to 90F)

Skills & Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old. Must be DOT certified with all qualification requirements.
• Enjoy working with people. Quality and customer-service focused.
• Physical abilities: Valid Department Of Transportation Physical Exam.
• Comply with FMCSR/DOT/Company policies and procedures.
• Electronic logging according to Company policy and FMCSA regulations.

Years Of Experience

• Minimum 1 year of recent tractor-trailer experience
• Supporting a large Enterprise Storage environment
• Minimum of 1 year of recent applicable CMV experience or participation/completion of a company approved CDL truck driving school
