Job summary

US Foods is hiring for an Inventory Control position in Illinois. The hours are Monday–Friday, 11:00 AM–7:30 PM. The starting pay is $25/hr, with a base rate range of $21–$33 and overtime compensation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 5 years of experience with inventory control and HAACP requirements.

• Strong math skills, excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Basic computer skills and ability to work with inventory software.
• Must be able to handle complex tasks, prioritize workload and advise others.
• Strong teamwork and ability to be a resource to others.

• Updates information on computer to maintain inventory records.
• Assess stock supply and reorder status.

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law. The expected base rate for this role is between $21 and $33. This role will also receive overtime compensation.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Compiles records from ordering, shipping, and receiving materials.
• Updates information on computer to maintain inventory records.
• Assess stock supply and reorder status.
• Prepares and verifies requisition of additional stock items.
• Assists in inventory and procedural audits when necessary.
• Performs other clerical duties as necessary.

RELATIONSHIPS

Internal:

• Inventory Control Supervisor/Director – Receives training and limited supervision in daily activities. Review of errors occurred. Advises on the activities of other inventory control associates.
• Day Warehouse Manager - Receives information on inventory issues
• Purchasing Department - Receives & provides information on inventory and quality control issues.

External:

None

Qualifications

Education/Training:

High School Diploma or GED

Related Experience:

5 years of experience with inventory control and HAACP requirements required.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Must be able to communicate clearly both in writing and verbally, strong math skills, excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, basic computer skills. Must be able to work on complex tasks, prioritize workload and advise others in department on workflow. Strong teamwork skills and the ability to be a resource to others.

Physical Requirements:

Constant sitting, frequent standing or walking. Must be able to operate a computer and perform filing.
