Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Braintree, MA is hiring a Class A CDL Yard Driver. This local role offers weekly pay, 45+ hours per week, paid training and a defined schedule: Monday–Friday with weekends required, start time 6:00 AM. Drivers will handle yard operations with no-touch freight and home daily routes.

The position includes strong benefits after 30 days, uniform and boot allowances, 401(k) with company match, and PTO from day one. CDL and endorsements, plus DOT compliance, are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test.
• Pass a DOT physical.
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position.
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle.
• 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR 2 years within the last 5 years, OR 5 years within the last 10 years.

Responsibilities

• Safely handling and maneuvering tractor trailers on the yard and on nearby roads.
• Comply with safety and DOT Regulations and participate in continuous training.
• Maintain logs and move/yard inventory records.

• Hourly Pay: $31.50 Per Hour

Requirements

• Pass a DOT physical

Responsibilities

• This position is primarily responsible for safely handling and maneuvering tractor trailers on the yard and within an area on public roads
• The position requires compliance with safety & DOT Regulations, continuous training and customer service

Additional Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards
• Maintaining accurate records and logs
• Maintaining accurate move and yard inventory records Other tasks as assigned
