Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Middletown, PA is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver for local, home-daily routes. You’ll enjoy weekly pay, comprehensive benefits after 30 days, and paid training while driving a Dry Van 53’.

Position features include a Mon–Fri schedule starting at 3:30 PM, a $2,000 sign-on bonus (half at 30 days, half at 90 days), plus a $1,200 loyalty bonus at six months and one year. No-touch freight, steady miles, and growth opportunities await.

Qualifications

• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle.
• 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR 2 years within the last 5 years, OR 5 years within the last 10 years.
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test.
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years.
• Pass a DOT physical.
• Pass a Ryder road test.
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position.
• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions.
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures.

Responsibilities

• Safely handling and maneuvering tractor trailers on the yard and within an area on public roads.
• Compliance with safety & DOT Regulations, continuous training and customer service.
• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines.
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards.
• Maintaining accurate records and logs.
• Maintaining accurate move and yard inventory records.
• Other tasks as assigned.
