Job description

We are seeking a Class A CDL Driver to join our dynamic team! We are looking for a responsible delivery driver to distribute research products promptly to our customers. You will represent our company in a professional, safe, and cost-effective manner, aiming at increasing profitability and customer satisfaction.

Position Details

This is a multi-faceted route driver position with primary routes from Sunday to Thursday, including some overnights and fill-in on team driving routes as needed. Candidates must be willing to team drive occasionally.

Compensation

Starting Rate: $35.00/hour + full benefits within 30 days of hire

Responsibilities

1. Operate a vehicle with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) over 26,000 lbs.
2. Pick up loads, verify for accuracy, and deliver on time
3. Complete paperwork accurately
4. Load and unload cargo safely
5. Drive safely in various conditions, including heavy traffic and bad weather
6. Inspect vehicle before shifts and perform basic maintenance when needed
7. Follow schedule and rest as necessary
8. Read maps and follow directions to locations
9. Provide courteous, professional customer service
10. Lifting items weighing up to 70 lbs. repeatedly
11. Drive safely for long durations
12. Be self-motivated and reliable
13. Use maps and GPS effectively
14. Maintain knowledge of roads, traffic laws, and DOT regulations
15. Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

1. At least 5 years of CDL driving experience
2. Successful motor vehicle record check
3. Ability to follow detailed instructions and communicate in English
4. Strong attention to detail
5. Good customer relations skills
6. Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
7. Fluency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English
8. Availability for early hours or late starts for specialty runs
