Job description

We are seeking a Class A CDL Driver to join our dynamic team! We are looking for a responsible delivery driver to distribute research products promptly to our customers. You will represent our company in a professional, safe and cost-effective manner aiming at increasing profitability and customer satisfaction.

This is a multi-faceted route driver position with a 2-night teams driving route every weekend and weekly local routes.

Route: Frederick, MD - Greenfield, IN - Lenexa, KS, also includes weekly local routes

Schedule: Friday to Sunday - Team Route: Weekday Local Routes

Starting Rate: $38/ hour + full benefits within 30 days of hire

Responsibilities:

• Be able to drive and successfully operate a vehicle with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) over 26,000 lbs.
• Pick up loads, verify for accuracy, and deliver on time
• Accurately complete paperwork
• Load and unload various types of cargo safely
• Drive safely in various conditions, including heavy traffic and inclement weather
• Inspect vehicle before start of shift; perform basic truck maintenance when necessary
• Follow schedule and rest when necessary
• Be able to read maps and follow directions to a location
• Provide courteous, professional customer service at all customer locations
• Be able to repeatedly lift items weighing up to 70 lbs.
• Drive for long periods of time safely
• Self-motivated and reliable
• Able to read maps and GPS
• Good knowledge of roads and direction, traffic laws, and DOT regulations
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• At least 5 years of CDL driving experience
• Successful completion of a motor vehicle driving record check
• Able to follow detailed instructions and communicate in English
• Strong ability to pay attention to detail
• Possess good customer relations skills
• Able to lift up to 70 lbs
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
• Must be available for specialty runs at early hours or for late starts, as needed

*This position could be offered at different levels for candidates who qualify with a combination of advanced levels of education and/or years of experience. The salary range will adjust along with the level of the role to match the person’s relevant experience and/or education level.
