Job summary

Northeastern Supply in Baltimore, MD seeks a Driver Associate to join our distribution team. You will deliver complete, accurate orders on time while maintaining a professional, safe, and DOT-compliant presence.

Responsibilities include loading and securing shipments, choosing efficient routes, documenting deliveries, and performing basic vehicle and warehouse duties. Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs and have a valid CDL A with a clean MVR; up to 50% travel is required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 1–2 years of work experience; distribution or driving experience preferred.
  • Valid CDL A driver's license and clean MVR required.
  • Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and perform frequent ascents/descents from the truck during deliveries.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods; work in variable indoor/outdoor temperature conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare truck for operation by assisting in and overseeing the loading of trucks, securing of items, and verifying the accuracy of shipping papers.
  • Deliver orders via the most effective route to ensure complete orders are delivered according to established time frames and customer needs.
  • Document delivery, accuracy, and receipt of orders by the customer according to company directives; report any discrepancies to the company.
  • Maintain communication with the company during deliveries to ensure any updated instructions are received.
  • Maintain a safe driving record and adhere to all DOT and applicable safety regulations.
  • Inspect truck tires, lights, brakes, fluids, and other systems to ensure safe and cost-effective performance with preventive maintenance in mind.
  • Maintain and monitor truck maintenance and driving record requirements; maintain required documents for safety, security, and quality processes.
  • Safely operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment as required.
  • Perform occasional warehouse and counter duties as needed to support the team.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures, including safety initiatives and guidelines.
  • Adhere to the rules and regulations set forth in the Employee Handbook.

Role Overview

The Driver Associate works alongside the distribution team to increase company profitability and customer satisfaction by delivering complete, accurate, and on‑time orders. This role represents the company in a highly professional, safe, and cost‑effective manner, maintaining full compliance with DOT and all other applicable regulations.

Core Responsibilities
  • Delivery & Route Operations:
