Job summary

Corewell Health is seeking a part-time driver to pick up and deliver documents, mail, packages, lab specimens, equipment and supplies within the Lakeland Hospital St Joseph area. You will ensure timely, safe, and accurate delivery and operate vehicles in all weather and driving conditions.

The role requires flexibility, reliability and organization, maintaining daily logs, and following DOT standards. You will interact with clients professionally and support dispatch requests as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 20 years of age.
• Must have an excellent driving record and MI licenses upon hire.

Job Summary

Picks up and delivers various documents, mail, packages, lab specimens’ equipment, materials, supplies and other items within the organization and institutional clients. Ensures timely, safe and accurate delivery. Must be able to operate vehicles in all weather and driving conditions. This job requires flexibility, reliability and organization.

Essential Functions

Safely picks up & delivers various documents, mail, packages, lab specimen, equipment, materials, supplies and other items from appropriate locations in a timely manner. Abides by all traffic laws and Department of Transportation (DOT) standards and training. Represents Corewell Health in a professional manner upholding our core values of compassion, collaboration, courage and curiosity. Follows appropriate protocol and procedures for accident/incident occurrences. Follow guidebooks outlined in each vehicle and notify leadership immediately. Interacts with clients in a professional manner providing excellent customer service. Relays client service problems to the attention of supervisor. Responsible for maintaining and completing daily log. Ensures vehicle is ready for the following route by filling up the gas tank and returning keys and equipment to designated area. Keep vehicles clean, organized and prepared for the next driver to utilize. Advise Supervisor of any repair needs. Utilizes technology to best provide services to customers. Responds to urgent dispatch requests based on business and customer needs.

Qualifications

• Must be 20 years of age
• Must have excellent driving record LIC-Chauffeur License - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required
• LIC-Driver's License - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required
