Aviagen is seeking a Driver's Assistant in a hands-on role supporting truck drivers with logistics and safety checks. The candidate must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, have a valid driver's license with a clean MVR, and be comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.

The position involves loading/unloading, securing loads, vehicle cleaning, and reporting maintenance issues to supervision. Flexibility for nights, weekends, and long shifts is required.

Qualifications

• MVR must be clean.

Responsibilities

Job Description

Job Qualifications

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Ability to read and write legibly
• Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivate
• Sound work ethic, honesty and moral character
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Previous live poultry tractor trailer driving experience
• Basic math functions and skills
• Work in outside environment (including inclement weather) on a daily basis
• Sit and climb in and out of truck cab throughout shift
• Lift up to 50 lbs
• Work around raw, live animal odors
• Work in noisy environment (>85 decibels) and moving equipment
• Work nights, weekends, holidays and long shifts
