Job summary

Aviagen USA is seeking a Driver's Assistant to support truck drivers with loading, unloading and securing loads. The role requires physical effort, lifting up to 50 lbs, and a clean MVR with a valid license. You will operate in outdoor conditions, including inclement weather, and work nights or weekends as needed.

This position emphasizes reliability, attention to safety, and ability to follow directions while maintaining quality standards in a fast-paced poultry logistics environment.

Qualifications

• Must have clean MVR and valid driver’s license.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 21 years of age required.
• Ability to read and write legibly.
• Ability to work unsupervised and be self-motivated.
• Basic math skills required.
• Experience with live poultry tractor-trailer driving preferred.

• Report truck and equipment maintenance issues to supervisor

Job Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Previous live poultry tractor trailer driving experience
• Basic math functions and skills
• Work in outside environment (including inclement weather) on a daily basis
• Sit and climb in and out of truck cab throughout shift
• Lift up to 50 lbs
• Work around raw, live animal odors
• Work in noisy environment (>85 decibels) and moving equipment
• Work nights, weekends, holidays and long shifts
