Job summary

Aviagen USA is seeking a Driver's Assistant to support truck drivers with logistics and loading operations. The role requires a clean MVR, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, while working in an outdoor poultry environment and potentially long shifts.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading, securing loads, vehicle cleaning, and reporting maintenance issues to a supervisor; all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Ability to read and write legibly.
• Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivate.
• Sound work ethic and honesty.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Previous live poultry tractor trailer driving experience.
• Basic math functions and skills.
• Work in outside environment (including inclement weather) daily.
• Sit and climb in and out of truck cab throughout shift.
• Lift up to 50 lbs.
• Work around raw, live animal odors.
• Work in noisy environment (>85 decibels) and moving equipment.
• Work nights, weekends, holidays and long shifts.

Responsibilities

• Assist with loading and unloading trailer as necessary
• Ensure secure load before movement
• Clean and wash truck as necessary
• Report truck and equipment maintenance issues to supervisor
• All other duties as assigned
