Qualifications

• Must possess class A CDL or CLP prior to entering job classification.
• Must possess acceptable MVR based on hiring standards.
• Must meet all DOT regulatory requirements under 49 CFR Part 383/391.
• Ability to count and perform basic math, with or without a calculator.
• Basic written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds repeatedly, and work safely around equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer, including doubles and/or straight trucks.
• Perform pre-trip, post-trip, and inter-trip inspections.
• Hook/unhook trailers and converter dollies.
• Move freight using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
• Secure freight inside trailers with pallets, straps, and rope.
• Recoup/repair damaged freight when needed.
• Complete required documentation and reports.
• Communicate with Dispatch and customers about pickups/deliveries.
• Support road driver or freight handler duties as needed.
