Job summary

Peregrine Senior Living in Guilderland, NY is seeking an energetic Driver to support residents by transporting them to activities and appointments within the community. This per diem role emphasizes safety, reliability, and compassionate service.

Responsibilities include operating a 7- to 16-passenger bus when needed, assisting residents on and off the vehicle, securing mobility aids, and coordinating with activity staff to tailor trips to individual needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Five or more years of driving experience required.
• Able to operate a seven to sixteen passenger bus preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive vehicle from community to social and other various destinations according to assigned schedule.
• Assist residents into and out of vehicle in a safe manner; secure passengers’ wheelchairs and walkers to restraining devices to stabilize during trip.
• Practice safe driving techniques at all times.
• Clean and service vehicle with fuel, lubricants, and accessories and report and coordinate vehicle maintenance repairs.
• Works with Director of Activities to deliver creating and exciting Resident activities meeting individual needs and interests within the community.
