Job summary

Peregrine Senior Living in New York’s Slingerlands community is seeking an energetic Driver to transport residents to activities and events, ensuring safety and comfort. Per diem schedule with pay between $18.00 and $20.00 per hour based on experience, and a comprehensive benefits package.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED (preferred) and five or more years of driving experience. Valid driving record and ability to operate a multi-passenger bus are assets.

• Five or more years of driving experience required.

Responsibilities

• Drive vehicle from community to social and other destinations according to the schedule.
• Assist residents into and out of the vehicle in a safe manner.
• Secure passengers’ wheelchairs and walkers to restraining devices to stabilize during trips.
• Practice safe driving techniques at all times.
• Clean and service the vehicle and coordinate maintenance repairs as needed.
• Collaborate with the Director of Activities to deliver resident activities meeting individual needs.

We are currently seeking an energetic and dedicated Driver.

Driver Responsibilities include:

• Drive vehicle from community to social and other various destinations according to assigned schedule
• Assist residents into and out of vehicle in a safe manner
• Secure passengers’ wheelchairs and walkers to restraining devices to stabilize during trip
• Practice safe driving techniques always
• Clean and service vehicle with fuel, lubricants, and accessories and report and coordinate vehicle maintenance repairs
• Works with Director of Activities to deliver creating and exciting Resident activities meeting individual needs and interests within the community

Driver Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
• Five (5) or more years of driving experience required
• Able to operate a seven (7) to sixteen (16) passenger bus preferred
