Job summary

Peregrine Senior Living is seeking an Activities Assistant to lead and coordinate activity programs for residents in the greater Albany, New York region. The role emphasizes engagement, memory-care aware activities, and supportive interaction with residents and families.

The ideal candidate will have at least a High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of three years’ experience in adult recreation, with preference for senior living or memory care exposure. Competitive benefits apply.

Salary: $16 - $17.50 per hour - based on experience

We are currently seeking an energetic and dedicated Activities Assistant.

Activities Assistant Responsibilities include:

• Basic knowledge of Alzheimer's Disease and related Dementia’s required.
• Experience in and knowledge of senior living, including Assisted Living, Memory care, and Enhanced Assisted Living preferred.
• Leads assigned activity programs.
• Offers adequate and diversified recreational activities to residents with sufficient supervision for each activity.
• Develops programs for residents including, if applicable, programs designed for residents confined to their rooms.
• Engages and motivates residents resulting in program participation.
• Informs residents of upcoming activities and maintains a current schedule of events on the bulletin board.
• Greets new residents making a special effort to include and engage them in activities and introduce them to others in the community with similar interests and backgrounds.
• Assists in planning parties and activities as well as decorating the community according to the season and/or holiday throughout the year, as well as planning monthly birthday parties to honor residents.

Activities Assistant Education & Experience:

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required
• Minimum three (3) years’ experience working with adult recreation
