Job summary

Piedmont Health Services, Inc. in Pittsboro, NC is seeking a Driver to transport passengers in the Transportation department. The role reports to the Transportation Manager and requires interaction with caregivers and community partners to support mobility and care needs.

Work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, with travel as needed. The position offers competitive hourly pay and benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance and a 403(b) plan.

Qualifications

• Education/Experience: High school degree or equivalent.
• 1 year experience transporting or caring for individuals with special mobility needs or impaired adults.
• Must be able to work effectively in a team environment.
• Must be able to operate handicap-accessible vehicles.
• Must meet a standardized set of competencies for the position described by PHSC and CMS before working independently.
• Valid NC Driver’s License and acceptable three-year MVR as defined by policy; Class B or C with passenger endorsement preferred but not required.

About Position:The primary responsibility of the Driver is to transport the physically limited passengers to and from their destinations. This position requires constant interaction with caregivers and community agencies; this position also performs patient care activities and assistance with personal care needs as needed.

Licensure, Registry or Certification Required: Valid NC Driver’s License and an acceptable three-year motor vehicle record as defined by the Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) Chart. Class B or C with passenger endorsement preferred, but not required.

Immunizations:Be medically cleared for communicable diseases and have all immunizations up-to-date prior to beginning employment.

Pay Range: $17.66/Hourly - $23.74/Hourly (commensurate with years of experience)
