Artis-Naples is seeking a part-time, non-exempt Driver responsible for the safe transport of guest artists, staff, and affiliates. The role includes pre/post-trip vehicle checks, compliance with Florida laws, and maintaining accurate transport logs.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the safe operation of vehicles rented, leased or owned by Artis-Naples. Adhere to all Motor Vehicle Statutes and Florida Laws while in the vehicle/driving.
  • Provide ground transportation for artists, artist affiliates and Artis-Naples team members to/from airport, hotels, rehearsals, concerts and special events as assigned.
  • Drivers must be comfortable driving distances such as Miami, Sarasota, Ft. Lauderdale, etc.
  • Must be prepared to work long days as occasional runner for performances. This entails running errands for the visiting production crew.
  • Must be capable of safely driving 15 passenger vans and other non-commercial motor vehicles with a Gross Motor Vehicle Weight Rating of under 26,000 lbs.
  • Pre and post trip checks of the company vehicles before and after each shift ensuring adequate operating margins.
  • Must be able to assist and load passengers and belongings.
  • Maintain times of transports and any other required paperwork while relaying the information to the Security Control room.
  • Manage passenger behavior by quickly and effectively solving problems and maintaining a professional persona.
  • Maintain cleanliness of vehicle.
  • Must attend driver training.
  • Work effectively with all Artis-Naples team members.

Summary

The primary responsibility of the Driver at Artis-Naples is the safe and comfortable transport of guest artists, guest lecturers, team members and others as assigned. The Driver is expected to follow established procedures, policies and protocols necessary for the safety of those being transported. They are also responsible for ensuring the equipment is in top working condition according to the manufacturer’s established operational guidelines and standards.
