Job summary

Red Hospitality & Leisure is seeking a Transportation associate for Cruz Bay Watersports at The Ritz Carlton, St. Thomas, USVI. This full-time role involves operating passenger cars and light vehicles to transport guests and supplies, while ensuring safety and timely service.

Responsibilities include guest pickups, luggage handling, vehicle checks, basic repairs, cleaning, and maintaining trip records. A high school diploma, customer service experience, VIPD background check, and a valid USVI

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous experience in customer service is required.
• Must provide local criminal background check through VIPD.
• Valid USVI Driver's License is required.

Responsibilities

• Operate passenger cars and light vehicles to transport guests and supplies.
• Pick up guests and load/unload baggage at designated locations.
• Ensure timely pick up for all guests.
• Check vehicles for fuel, tires, lights and safety devices.
• Report problems to supervisor.
• Change tires or perform minor repairs as needed.
• Clean interior and exterior of vehicles.
• Drive safely and legally at all times.
• Maintain trip records using company software.
• Know excursions and areas around St. Thomas and St. John.
• Provide hotel handover with three notes for guest experience.

Duties (NOT ALL INCLUSIVE):

• Operates passenger cars and other light automotive equipment in transporting internal and/or external guests and/or supplies to designated locations.
• Picks up internal and/or external guests, equipment, loads and unloads baggage/supplies to designated locations.
• Ensures timely pick up for all internal and external guests.
• Check automotive equipment to determine that is supplied with fuel and lubricants, that tires are properly inflated, and lights and safety devices are in proper order.
• Communicate problems/issues with vehicle to supervisor.
• Change tires and make minor repairs and adjustments to the vehicle and/or take to automotive shop to have repairs completed.
• Cleans interior and exterior of the vehicle, including waxing and polishing exterior surfaces.
• Operate all vehicles according to traffic laws and regulations and demonstrates safe driving practices.
• Maintains trip records of all information required by operating procedures, utilizing the company’s software.
• Ensure to be knowledgeable on company’s excursions and activities as well as knowledge on the surrounding areas for both St. Thomas and St. John.
• Ensure to provide a handover to the hotel upon arrival and three things noted about the guest for maximum guest experience.
• Other projects and/or duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or its' equivalent from an accredited institution (Preferred)
• Previous experience in customer service and/or equivalent work experience PLUS
• Must provide local criminal background check through VIPD
• Valid USVI Drivers License
