Job summary

Coastal Elite Pro seeks an experienced truck driver to transport freight between service centers and customers in Idaho. You will support sales efforts, ensure timely delivery, and maintain safety and compliance on all routes.

Responsibilities include operating tractor-trailer units, performing inspections, hooking/unhooking trailers, securing cargo, and communicating with dispatch. HazMat regulations may apply, with opportunities to work as a road driver or dock worker as needed.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Class A CDL with necessary endorsements, or completion of a driver development program.
• Relevant driving experience or completion of a driver development course.
• Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
• Compliance with DOT regulations and safety standards.

Responsibilities

Position Overview: This role involves picking up and delivering freight between Service Centers and customers, supporting sales efforts, and ensuring timely, safe transportation.

Responsibilities include: Operating tractor-trailer combinations, performing daily safety inspections, hooking/unhooking trailers, handling freight with manual and motorized equipment, securing cargo, verifying documentation, complying with hazardous materials regulations, and communicating with dispatch and customers.

Additional duties may involve performing chaining of tires, acting as a road driver or dock worker when necessary, and identifying new business opportunities.

Qualifications and Skills: Must possess a Class A CDL with necessary endorsements, relevant driving experience or completion of a driver development course, acceptable Motor Vehicle Record, and compliance with DOT regulations. Basic math, communication skills, ability to lift up to 100 pounds, and physical endurance are required. Ability to work independently or in a team is essential.

Working Conditions: Driving under various weather and road conditions, exposure to noise, dust, fumes, and potential hazards from shipped materials. Flexibility in hours is expected.
