Job summary

Coastal Elite Pro is seeking an experienced truck driver to pick up and deliver freight between service centers and customers. You will operate various tractor-trailer configurations, perform safety inspections, and handle freight with standard equipment.

The role requires a Class A CDL with appropriate endorsements, clean MVR, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team under varying hours and weather conditions. Excellent communication with dispatch and customers is essential.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with endorsements for doubles/triples, hazmat, and tankers.
• At least one year of recent driving experience or completion of a driver development program.
• Valid MVR and compliance with DOT regulations.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and operate in various weather conditions.
• Strong communication and ability to follow instructions, work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer combinations, including doubles, triples, and straight trucks.
• Perform daily safety inspections and hook/unhook trailers.
• Handle freight using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
• Secure freight inside trailers with pallets, straps, and ropes, and repair damaged freight when needed.
• Verify documentation, comply with hazardous material regulations, and collect freight charges.
• Follow dispatch instructions, communicate delays or issues, and engage with customers to determine needs and promote additional business.
• May perform tire chaining, and assume duties of road driver or dock employee as necessary.
• Adhere to all laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
